It runs on the same base platform as the 20SL but with a four-bench layout that maximizes seating and under-seat storage for a full boat of passengers. Bennington 20SSR Pontoon Boats
The SSR stands for S Series Quad Bench. The layout replaces the standard L-bench with four distinct chaise lounges across the stern, which gives a full boat of passengers more defined seating areas and more under-seat storage in all four corners. Life jackets, towels, and gear stay below deck rather than taking up floor space.
For families who regularly bring large groups out on the water, the difference between an SSR and a standard L-bench configuration is noticeable over the course of a full day. The four-bench setup creates natural conversation areas on a boat that would otherwise feel like one large open seating section with everyone pointed in the same direction.
Why Bennington 20SSR Boats
The 20SSR is available in both standard two-tube and SPS performance configurations. The standard model is rated for engines up to 90 horsepower and handles well on protected lakes and calm conditions. The SPS version adds the performance center tube, WaveTamer, and hydraulic steering, and supports engines up to 150 horsepower. On Lake Winnipesaukee, where afternoon chop is a consistent reality, the SPS handles noticeably better than the standard two-tube in the same conditions.
Both versions are in stock across our locations. If you are buying for Lake Winnisquam or Ossipee Lake and your use is primarily relaxed, the standard 20SSR covers it well. If Winnipesaukee is your home lake and you run it regularly in the afternoon, the SPS is worth the extra cost.
