Family owned and operated since 1977. Ed Crawford started this business near the Mosquito Bridge on Lake Winnisquam, and the Crawford family still runs it today. No investors. No corporate backing. Just a family that sells, services, and rents boats across three locations in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region.

Family Owned & Operated

Ed and Sheila Crawford built Winnisquam Marine from a single location on Lake Winnisquam. Their daughter Julie Marsh and son Ryan Crawford now run day-to-day operations. The business has grown, but the family hasn’t handed it off to anyone else.

How We Got Here

1977

Ed Crawford opens Winnisquam Marine on Lake Winnisquam in Belmont, NH.

2017

The Crawfords purchase Channel Marine on Lake Winnipesaukee and rename it Winni Marine. First time the business has a presence on Winnipesaukee.

2024

Ward’s Boat Shop in Center Ossipee joins the family as Winnisquam Marine of Ossipee. Three lakes. Three locations.

What We Do

We sell new and pre-owned boats, rent 75+ boats across two lakes, run the largest service department in New England, and store boats over the winter at all three locations. Brands we carry include Bennington, Monterey and Bayliner, all powered by Mercury Marine.
