Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled heavy equipment operator to join our team as a year-round, full-time employee. Your primary responsibility will be operating a forklift to move boats around our marina with ease and expertise. You’ll need to be able to operate a marina forklift with a capacity of up to 14,000 lbs, pull and set boats up to 30 ft in a 4-tier high dry rack building, and maintain the equipment by checking fluid levels, hydraulic lines, fittings, forks, and straps regularly. You’ll need to be able to operate a boat yourself and have an exceptional attention to detail to avoid any damages to the boats. Time management is also crucial as you’ll need to prioritize and maintain a timely schedule of movements. You should also be a good communicator and a team player to ensure smooth coordination with other team members.
