04-24-18 OK, We jumped the gun. Sorry. No Ice-Out on Winnisquam yet. Zach made the trip up the lake and much to our surprise- It’s all ice past Pots Island.
We were thinking it was going to be clear all the way up, but there’s ice still hanging in there all the way across the lake past Pots Island. Bring on the rain and wind !!!!

04-23-18 Nearly Ice-Out on Lake Winnisquam. The first day of open water since last Fall!! We’re heading up the lake Tuesday to checkout the situation.
My guess is with 70F forecasted Tuesday, 04-24-18, my guess is Lake Winnisquam Ice-Out will be today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay tuned. We’re heading to the Loon Sanctuary to see if we can travel through the channel !!

04-16-18 Major construction going on at Winni Marine today. The Gaftek crew was here all day making improvements to the gas dock fuel system. We’re ramping it up to pump fuel faster !!
No waiting around at the Winni Marine gas dock!! With an updated fuel delivery system and tiki huts out on the docks with card chip readers and printers- You’ll be fueled up and on your way quickly. AND don’t forget about the NEW beer cave and snack store right at the dock !!! Super convenient…
04-15-18 Crazy weather today. Windy and freezing rain all night. And more of the same ongoing right now. But the lake ice is developing cracks, moving a bit and is beginning to fail.
AND that’s all good. The lakes are beginning to clear out. Let the summer begin…
04-15-18 MAJOR CHINKS in the ice on Lake Winnisquam last night !!!! The area by where the Winnipesaukee River flow into Winnisquam is WIDE open overnight.
AND now there are random open spots around the lake!! Including right in front of Ed’s Camp. It is now the beginning of the end… OR the beginning of the beginning ???
03-14-18 The Lake Winnisquam ice is moving !!! Cracks and a couple open spots are visible !! It’s real black again !!
