04-09-17 The public ramp was iced in around the start of Salmon season (04-01-17), but it’s since opened up and there’s access to the large, wide open area around Laconia. North of Potts Island and down by the bridge is still iced in solidly. We heard there was 10 inches of ice in the cove by Mallards Landing south of Mohawk Island. It’s 54F right now at 10am and the temperature is rising to a forcasted to a high of 75F on Tuesday. SO- IT WON’T BE LONG!! Possibly Easter weekend will be iced out.
