11-12-17 Smaller Loons (not Common Loons) heading south as the northern ponds freeze up. We see them in the fall and then they’re back as there’s openings in the ice pack.
Man- these birds have great hearing. Anything startles them.

It’s all coming together nicely. Won’t be long now…

11-11-17 A wicked cold and windy night. Then a few light snow showers, and onto freezing temps…
The lakes are high because of all the rain lately. So with the wind and the waves there is lots of ice around the waterfront… Several ski areas have opened up up north, but the Lakes Region has not seen any appreciable snowfall yet…
11-10-17 WHOA- Another nor’easter!! Two big storms in two weeks. This one no way as bad, BUT, the forecast was for 9F at night.
Never happened. Jake, Gary and Bob got all the yards freeze-safe real quick for that evening. But then it went down to 20F which is ok for a boat in the water. The only boats in the water were Ryan’s and Evan’s. But the techs got 100% of our boats safe for the storm.
